Conservation

Since 1915, the Forest Preserve District has served the people of DuPage County through its mission to acquire and hold lands for the purpose of preserving the flora, fauna and scenic beauty for the education, pleasure and recreation of its citizens. Today the Forest Preserve District owns or manages thousands of acres of land. A significant percentage of this acreage is being restored or actively managed.
